The Ultimate All-in-One Card Reader for The New iPad (video) » M.I.C. Gadget. If you are already familiar with the camera connection kit for iPad then this little gem will definitely be of interest. It boasts a micro SD, SD/SDHC/and CF card readers and heres the little gem that doesn’t get a mention…a little while back in an iOS update Apple cleverly scaled back the voltage in the dock connector to prevent “unauthorized” devices being used with the USB camera connector kit, if you try to attach any of these devices you get this message.

 

The neat addition to the All-In-One-CardReader is that it has a separate DCin which in my logic means you can supply the required 5v to your USB device and thereby power the unauthorized device independently of the iPad – which means you should, once again be able to import from almost any usb camera-now this is my theory.
