SONY NEX FS 100 review by Den Lennie of F-Stop

The word GAMECHANGER gets bandied about alot these days – but I have to say first impressions of the new Sony NEX FS-100 are very good- so good in fact that I might have actually found a camera worthy of the GameChanger badge. Dont know how long before this camera goes into production but would be very keen to do a try-out on this. Pro Documentary will be in the headlights at the approx €10k pricetag – but Im curious to see how the AVC HD file formats affect workflow times and compression artefacts. Den Lennie who was involoved in the design project with Sony gives a great run-through of the Prototype. Head over to PROVIDEOCOALITION for the full review.

Really enjoy the effort behind your reviews, big fan. I am a 5D MK2 loyal film maker, however this camera, thanks to your insight and experience with DSLRs, raises my eyebrow. I would love to put it head-to-head with the 5D, perhaps you’ll let me join you in that cage match? 🙂

Thanks for posting and please keep up the inspiring work sir.

    Cheers,

    Nils
