Get Paid to Snap iPhone Pics with Gigawalk app – AppScout. This is interesting…it could end up being a model for hyper-local news. Are crowdsourced Photos or (in the near future) Videos more acceptable for use by news organisations than Citizen Journalisim?  I watched an interesting clip on Beet.tv with Olivia Ma, News Manager with YouTube clip here, she talks about YouTube curating media from Citizen Reporters and explains her deliberate reason for not referring to Citizen Journalists – Its a fair point I think. In the case of GigaWalk the journalist or newseditor sends a request for images or footage from a particular area. Now…what if Taxi drivers carried iPhones…or their despatch offices let them know when Gigawalk requests were sent out…Hmmm
