Hi Glen, a very interesting rig, and a work-flow I had not even thought of (iphone to ipad.)

I was just about to buy the new H2N for my radio work when I found out about the Fostex Ar-41 – it looks great.

One quick question. Do you think the Ar-41 better suited to video work, or would it be equally useful for radio?

And is there a comparable ipad or iphone app that always professional audio editing?

    Regards, Tom Allan.

Hi Tom, Ive used a H4N and I have to admit its a great piece of kit – if you have a laptop with Audacity (free) then you’re sorted for radio purposes. The AR4i will allow you to record 2 separate audio channels on the iPhone (if you download the Fostex config App from the App store) and it will also allow you to set an audio level for whatever mic you are using so it has its potential benefits. The real control comes though if you use Apps like HINDENBERG or VC AudioPro. Multi-channel audio editing and in some cases ftp included! Hope that helps and remember to switch the iPhone to Airplane mode when recording. Cheers.
